1. Clear Entire Browsing History
This is the main reason of becoming slow down of web browsers along with time. Your browser may be full of web history and that’s why it affects the browsing speed as well. So, you can improve your web browser’s speed by clearing the entire web history stored in the browser’s memory.
For Firefox browser, I’ve recently published an article on how to clear cache and entire browsing history. In most browsers pressing Ctrl+Shift+Delete take user to a dialog box that prompt to delete the browsing data and stored cache inside your browser.
2. Disable Plugins & Extensions
We ever use several plugins and extensions in our web browsers. Most of the people use Google Chrome and as we know that we ever need different plugins and extensions to add in our Chrome browser, so to speed up your browser, you should disable the unwanted extensions.
To disable plugins you need to go chrome://plugins and for extensions just enter chrome://extensions in your Chrome browser.
3. Use Private Browsing
In private browsing mode, the web browser doesn’t store the web history and that’s why you can experience fast web browsing with private browsing. Every browser uses different methods to open a private browsing window. So, in Google Chrome, simply press and hold Shift+Ctrl+N and Chrome’s incognito mode will be open. In Firefox you can simply open a new private window by pressing Ctrl+Shift+P.

4. Keep Fewer Tabs Open
It is also an important and very simple point to consider that you should open fewer tabs while browsing internet through any web browser. Multiple tabs can cause to degrade your browsing performance and your browser’s speed.
So, you should be careful about that. Open only your necessary tabs which you really need to keep them open and close unnecessary tabs. Generally, you should open maximum of 2 or 3 tabs at once.
