Facebook recently added the facility to let users add a profile video by replacing the Facebook profile picture. It doesn’t mean you will lose the profile picture feature, it will as it is! So, isn’t it interesting?
According to Facebook, they’ve started testing the new features in iPhone users in the UK and California before rolling them out to users worldwide.
However, this feature is not now available worldwide and only updated to a few iPhone users but as your iPhone might be the next to have access to this feature, so here I tell you how you can add a profile video on your iOS device by replacing old Facebook profile picture.
Adding a Facebook Profile Video Instead of Profile Picture
With this new feature Facebook is allowing users to add a 7 seconds video by replacing your profile picture.
To make a profile video from Facebook’s iOS app, tap the More button in the lower-right corner and then tap your name to open your profile page. Tap your profile picture, now centered in the updated design, and then choose either Take a New Profile Video or Upload Video or Photo.

You will have to record or upload a video of 7 seconds or shorter because Facebook doesn’t let you trim a larger video.
After taking or uploading a video, you can then select a thumbnail from the video as your profile picture. The picture will show up in Facebook’s news feed.
Only when people visit your profile page will they see your video, which helps people add a some flair to their profiles without making Facebook’s news feed overly distracting.

Along with this, Facebook is also rolling out some more features that I’ve discussed in this post, in which Featured Photos and Temporary Profile Pic I liked a lot.
Great feature. Looking for it in my Android phone.
