If you recently started a website or blog and want search engines to index your blog posts more frequently, then a sitemap is a must for you. However, a sitemap is not only for new blogs, every blogger should use sitemaps to let search engines know frequently about your new blog posts and pages.

If your blog is running on WordPress, then you will need an XML Sitemap plugin for indexing your content by Google-like search engines frequently. And here I’m going to tell you about the best WordPress plugin I use for XML Sitemaps. I will also let you know about some other XML Sitemaps WordPress plugins for your blog.

The Plugin We’re Using For XML Sitemaps

Now, without taking more time, let me tell you which XML Sitemaps plugin I use for regular indexing of this WordPress blog.

Update: As of now, we have switched to the Rank Math SEO plugin from the AIOSEO plugin. This is the plugin we are using for our SEO needs as well as for XML Sitemaps.

All-in-One SEO Plugin

It is my yet favorite XML Sitemaps plugin that I use for regularly indexing AllUsefulInfo.com. It is popularly known as the best WordPress SEO plugin. It is my forever favorite WordPress plugin because it is much more than just an SEO plugin.

In the year 2014, I tried two different XMS sitemap plugins including Google XML Sitemaps and BWP Sitemaps WordPress Plugin for submitting URLs to Google and other search engines but due to their discontinuation, I had to switch to my all-time favorite WordPress plugin, All in One SEO plugin.

The All-in-One SEO plugin is very simple to set up. All you need to do is install and activate the plugin, navigate to All in One SEO > Sitemaps from the left side panel and turn on the toggle to enable the sitemap. In case of submitting sitemaps to Google, you will have to add this sitemap to Google Webmaster tools.

All in One SEO plugin sitemaps

From the day I enabled the sitemaps feature of the All in One SEO plugin, it has been working very well without creating any problems. All my articles or webpages are regularly indexed by Google as well as Yahoo, Bing, etc. So, as per my own experience, I recommend you to use this sitemaps plugin for your WordPress blog.

A Few More WordPress Plugins for XML Sitemaps

In case you don’t like to use the All in One SEO plugin for sitemap purposes or are facing any problem with the plugin and looking for an alternative, here are some other WordPress plugins for XML Sitemaps.

1. Google XML Sitemaps

It is another popular WordPress plugin for XML Sitemaps and has over 16,000,000 downloads. The plugin supports all the pages and URLs generated by WordPress as well as the custom URLs. Along with this, it automatically notifies search engines every time a new post is published.

2. XML Sitemaps

This is also a good XML Sitemaps plugin for your WordPress site to notify search engines when you publish a blog post or any page. Contrary to other plugins that generate sitemap files, this one will add a rewrite rule and store your cached sitemaps in the wp-content/sitemaps folder.

Is there any other app that I forgot to include in this list? Let me know via comments!
