The whole world is suffering from coronavirus these days and because of this many countries announced several days of lockdown so that people can stay safe at home. But, due to this lockdown people in different countries are being affected in plenty of ways as almost every kind of service is stuck these days.
However, the government of each country is trying to offer every possible relief to the citizens during this lockdown and appealing everyone to stay at home.
Private sectors are also announcing some great reliefs to their customers and normal citizens to help them keep calm and stay safe at home. Most of the leading smartphone makers announced to extend the global warranty of their products so that people can stay calm during this lockdown.
The Companies Extended Warranty Till 31st May
There’re many smartphone makers including Lenovo, Motorola, OnePlus, Samsung and Realme extended the global warranty of their products till 31st May 2020.
For Motorola, Realme and Lenovo, this product warranty is applicable on only those smartphones and accessories whose warranty was expiring between March 15 and April 30.
OnePlus also announced the warranty extension for all its products till 31st May which will be applicable only on the devices whose warranty expires between March 1 and May 30.
Samsung in a tweet wrote, “At Samsung, the well-being of our customers is a top priority. That’s why, we are extending the standard warranty till 31st May, 2020 on all Samsung products whose warranty is expiring between 20th March and 30th April, 2020.”
The Companies Extended Warranty Till 30th June
Some smartphone makers including Huawei and Honor announced the extended warranty of their products till 30th June 2020. Both of the smartphone companies extended warranty period till the end of June for devices whose warranties expire between March 21 to June 21.
Huawei in a tweet said, “We’re here to support you! As a gesture of good faith, we have extended the warranty on all smartphones, smartwatches, headsets, chargers, etc. to 30th June’2020, whose warranty expires between 21st March 2020 to 21st June 2020.”
I personally praise this step taken by all the companies to support their customers in this difficult time of coronavirus lockdown.
Due to this coronavirus lockdown, the service centers and customer call centers are also temporarily closed until the next notice by government. Companies are trying their best to help their customers during this crisis.
