Truly, Google recently made a little modification in its search algorithm which now will help people find their misplaced or lost Android smartphone and all you need to enter the query “Find my phone” and you even won’t need to enter your device name or phone number etc. rather Google will locate your phone just by this query instantly on the map.
Now, anybody may think that how Google can know about your smartphone without providing the details. Honestly, Google can fetch the details of your smartphone when you’re logged in to your that Google account which you use in your Android phone.

How to Find Your Lost Android Phone Using Google Search
It’s not only about searching on Google “Find my phone” rather you need to make a few simple changes to start using this new facility of Google.
So, first of all you will need to update the Google App in Android phone from Google Play Store. After this you will need to turn on Google Now. To turn on Google Now, touch the Menu icon (or swipe to right) > Settings > Now Cards. Here you need to Turn on Show Cards and Show Notifications.
Now, you will be needed to turn on web and app activity. For this, visit Account History page and make sure it is on (green).
That’s all the settings. Now make sure you’re logged in to your Google Account in your phone and Google app by navigating to Menu icon. After this, visit www.google.com on your computer and log in with the Google account you use on your Android phone and search for “find my phone”. As soon as you will enter this query on Google it will show the location of your smartphone, where it is situated. Isn’t it easy and effective!
(Note: If you’re still unable to find your phone, go to Google Settings app in your smartphone and navigate to Location > Access location. Make sure that Access location is turned on or checked.)
Not only this, if the smartphone is just misplaced in your own house, you can give it a loud ring by using clicking the Ring button below the map you can see in the above picture. As soon as you will click this Ring button, your phone will start ringing at full volume regardless it is on sleep mode or at low volume.

Other than this, you can also search for “Send directions to my phone” to know the directions of any destination, “Send a note to my phone” to automatically send a note to your phone from your computer, “Set an alarm” to set an alarm on your phone without touching the smartphone, and “Set a reminder” to remind yourself at the selected time on your smartphone.
