A few days ago one of the subscribers of Allusefulinfo.com asked a question to me via email how to embed Facebook status in WordPress blog posts. I replied that I would surely publish an article containing the solution to your problem. However, due to the business of a whole-day schedule, today I had the time to write an article with the solution to his problem.
Facebook is the most active social platform where we always find something or other interesting and useful material through various status updates. You might have seen that many bloggers embed Facebook status updates in their blog posts. So, let me tell you that you can also include any publicly shared Facebook status to your WordPress blog post very simply.
Honestly, it is very easy to embed Facebook status in your WordPress blog post, nonetheless, beginners may find it difficult. So, this article is dedicated to all beginners and the ones who asked me this question.
Embed Facebook Status in WordPress Blog Posts
So, I think you’re now ready to embed Facebook status in your WordPress blog post. The first step is to find a publicly shared status that you want to embed in your blog post. You’ll see a downward arrow at the top right corner of the status. Click on that arrow and from the drop-down menu, click on Embed Post. (Follow the screenshot below)
Next, a popup screen will show off and a few lines of code will be inside. The only thing you’ve to do is copy that code from there simply.
Now, add a new post to your WordPress blog’s admin panel. Here, before pasting the copied code, choose Text editor and then paste the code into the WordPress post editor. (Follow the screenshot below)
After pasting the lines of code into the Text portion of your WordPress blog post, click on the Preview button to check whether the status or post has been embedded or not. (Here’s the screenshot of one of the Facebook posts I embedded)
That’s it, I hope you’ll find it very simple and easy to perform. So, starting now, embed your favorite and interesting Facebook status with your WordPress blog posts.
The Alternative Way: Using a WordPress Plugin
An official Facebook WordPress plugin is also available in the WordPress database that will help you to embed Facebook status and posts in your WordPress blog posts very easily.
In fact, this plugin provides the shortcode for embedding the Facebook status in your blog post by simply pasting the URL of your Facebook status.
Syntax of Shortcode:
[facebook_embedded_post href="{$facebook_post_url}"]
Not only this, the official Facebook plugin provides too many features such as Open Graph Protocol, and Facebook Insights and you can enable the Facebook comments box social plugin. With the help of this plugin, you can also Like, Send, and Follow buttons, Like Box, Recommendations bar, and Recommendations box. So, isn’t it a very useful plugin for all webmasters and bloggers?
That’s very nicely explained. Thanks.
Oh really! Glad to know.
