Millions of WhatsApp users would be pretty excited nowadays because of launching its web client to use WhatsApp on the web using Chrome Browser. Indeed, there are lots of features and benefits of this new service of WhatsApp but honestly guys it may also have some limitations. Have you thought about that? Let me tell you the 5 reasons why WhatsApp Web may disappoint you.
Reasons for Why WhatsApp Web May Disappoint Users
The following problems users may face with this browser version or web version of WhatsApp:
1. Privacy Danger
One of the great reasons why WhatsApp Web may disappoint users is the privacy of users. We all know the privacy of our messages and data always matters but this web version of WhatsApp may disappoint you in that case. Let me explain.
For example, if you leave your phone in your friend’s room or any public place for one or two minutes and in the meantime if any wrong person syncs your WhatsApp on the desktop, without your permission he/she will be able to access all your messages and other WhatsApp data on the desktop.
However, the one thing that is great about this web version is that it can not be logged in between two computers simultaneously. Also, you can remotely logout every web session from your smartphone.
2. iOS is Not Now Supported
This WhatsApp for web version is available for Android, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry smartphones but as I told in my previous article, it is not now available for iOS users because of Apple platform limitations.
3. You’ll Have to Keep the Phone Stay Connected
WhatsApp Web emerged as a great option for its millions of users to surf WhatsApp on the web but here’s another limitation with this version. The problem is that you can only surf WhatsApp on your browser till then your smartphone (in which the original version is installed) is connected to the Internet.
So, for any reason as soon as the Internet disconnects in your mobile, the web version will also disconnect automatically. It means you’ll have to connect your desktop and mobile with the same WiFi network.
4. Only Google Chrome Browser is Supported
However, we all know that Google Chrome is a cutting-edge browser but many users also use Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Opera. But, in the case of WhatsApp Web version, it only works in Chrome browser, so in that case, it may disappoint other users.
5. Can’t Block a Person, Create or Leave Group
Yes, guys, you read correctly. With this web version of WhatsApp, you won’t be able to block a person or create and leave a group. So, what is it necessary for? It just mirrors your WhatsApp chat messages, lets you receive and send messages and a few more things. So, I think this limitation may also disappoint many users.
Conclusion
I know, you guys will always indeed that WhatsApp is the best instant messaging cross-platform app and always launch something or other new things. However, this all-new WhatsApp Web may disappoint you due to a few reasons as mentioned above, but as it is a start-up, so in further versions these limitations should be fixed. And for now, it is enough for me to mirror my WhatsApp messages on the desktop to stay connected with my friends and relatives along with working online on my laptop.
You’re right Raman but still I liked it.
