A few days ago, my little brother purchased a new Nokia Lumia Windows phone and for installing some of the essential apps, logged in with his Microsoft Outlook account in the Windows Phone App Store. But the worst thing was that he didn’t find any option to sign out of the Windows Phone app store.
For instance, if your friend wants your phone for a few hours but you don’t wanna let him enter your Windows phone app store, you will need to log out of your Microsoft account from the Windows Phone app store.
Is it Possible to Sign out of Windows Phone App Store
Finally, when my brother didn’t find any option to sign out of the Windows Phone App Store, he came to me and asked for a solution to this problem. I opened the app store and explored each and every corner but disappointedly I had to say no…I couldn’t find any option to sign you out from the Windows Phone app store.
But, the thing stuck in my mind that why such an important feature is not available on Windows phones. So, I contacted Microsoft Windows Phone Support and told them about the problem but the representative directly told me NO….no there is no option provided in Windows Phone to log out of the app store.
It’s Very Urgent, Tell Me if Any Solution
The same lines I told to the support representative of Windows Phone and on such request he told me a rubbish option to sign out of the Windows Phone app store. Yes, I’m calling it rubbish because it’s not the proper solution to any problem. But, nonetheless, it’s the only solution! He told me to factory Reset Windows Phone by taking the backup of all the data. “Zing”!
I knew this fact that after factory resetting the phone, it would be automatically logged out of the Windows Phone app store. But, it’s not a prominent solution to the problem, in fact, it’s just an improvised way to be used in very hard situations.
Gave Feature Suggestions to Improve Windows Phone
I was really disappointed and told the support representative that signing out of the Windows Phone app store is a very common need and that may be many people feeling this problem. So, he told me to give the feature suggestions for improving Windows Phone and I did.
If you’re also feeling this problem and need the sign-out feature for the Windows Phone app store, just go to the Feature Suggestions page (Archived) and give your suggestions to get the Sign-out feature in the next versions of Windows Phone Operating System.
Oh no! There is no solution! And I can’t factory reset the phone. Please tell me if there is any other method to logout.
