However, Facebook doesn’t support HTML to bold, italicize, or strike out the text but still, you know it’s possible to bold, italicize, and strikeout text in your Facebook post or status update by using an external web tool.

It’s very easy to use this tool called FBFormat to bold, italicize, and strikeout the text in your Facebook post status.

It’s a very short and quick guide, truly! All you need to visit the FBFormat tool by using this link and enter the text you want to bold, italicize, and strikeout in the FBFormat editor. The editor lets you put any kind of formatting with your text by clicking the bold, italicize, and strikeout icons, just like in the following picture.

As shown in the above GIF image, you can easily bold, italicize, and strike out any text, and once the formatting is done, just copy and paste the same in your Facebook status bar, it will look like in the formatting you did through the FBFormat tool.

For example, if you want to make some text bold in your Facebook status update, simply go to the FBFormat tool, enter the text in the editor, and make it bold just like I showed in the above GIF. Finally, copy the bold text and paste into your Facebook status bar, it will remain in the same formatting (it means bold as it was in the FBFormat tool).

  1. It works, except it doesn’t appear right if you look at the status on Samsung or Android phones. Anything bolded just appears as X’s in boxes. Is there a format tool that could enable it to appear right on androids?
