  1. Is there any way to know the 3G balance logging into the account online? I have set the 3g device for my parents in India and I would like to know the 3g balance to recharge it online. Let me know if there is any way to do that.

    • If you’re using Idea 3G internet in Idea 3G NetSetter, it can be checked using its USSD feature, in mobile devices whenever you disconnect internet, it automatically shows the internet balance.

Otherwise *125# is the only way I know to check Idea 2G and 3G net balance.

    • Hey Santam, I don’t think that there should be any other code for checking Idea Internet balance. You should try the above procedure carefully because that worked for all.

    • Hey Bharat, it’s very easy to unlock your idea netsetter and you just need an external software called univeral mastercode v.04. Using this software you can get the unlock code for your netsetter and then unlock the idea netsetter instantly. However, I will soon publish the related article to assist you better! 🙂

  2. Hi,
Can I check the balance without using USSD codes?
Something like BAL to 12345? I use 3g wi-fi dongle that doesn’t support USSD codes.
In DOCOMO I can send BAL to 121 to get the balance/3G details…
Kindly provide me any way to check the balance/3G details via sms.
    Thanks and regards..

      • Hi Raman – thanks for sharing all this info. I had a specific question about pre-paid SIM cards. I am using them in a machine to collect data. So I am not using the card for calls and it’s not in a mobile/internet device. Is there a way to check the balance on those cards without having to worry about login/password/carrier type info – perhaps through a website/app?
