On 2nd August 2022, the new smartphone company IQOO launched a flagship model, IQOO 9T with the partnership of BMW and Motorsport. The smartphone came with compelling features like a dual chip processor and attractive design. But, the price of the IQOO 9T is skyrocketing.

No doubt, the smartphone has rich features. But, do these features justify its high price? After all, IQOO is a new brand. To find out if the price of the IQOO 9T is worthy or overpriced, we will discuss its features in this IQOO 9T review and compare them with its other rivals in the market. But, before that, you should know its price, so that you have an idea.

IQOO 9T Review: Features

A smartphone has various features. Some of them are basic features that are easily available in other rivals but some are the main features that are unique. The IQOO 9T’s noticeable features are a dual chip processor, sporty design, and fantastic camera.

Let’s discuss all the features of IQOO 9T in detail. By knowing all these features, you will get to know if the price of the smartphone is worth it or not.

1. Display

If you see the display features of IQOO 9T, it comes with a 6.78-inches E5 AMOLED display that has a 120Hz refresh rate, and 2400*1080 pixels resolution. Additionally, it has a 1200Hz instant touch sampling rate.

These basic display features can also be found in smartphones between the 20,000 to 25,000 INR price range. Although its display has rare features like the 1200Hz instant touch and E5 AMOLED display that consumes 25% less battery than the E4 version.

2. Battery

The IQOO 9T has a 4700mAh battery and 120W super fast charger that can charge the battery in 20 minutes. Without any doubt, the charging speed is fast and the battery backup is enough, but when we talk about its rivals, we see that the OnePlus 10T has a 150W charger and 4800 mAh battery.

We can’t consider it a drawback because a 120W charger is enough to charge the battery quickly. But, yes, you have another option in the almost same price range where you are getting a 150W charger. It’s up to you if your requirements are at that level. But, I don’t consider it a big difference.

3. Cameras

Talking about the camera features of IQOO 9T, it has three camera sensors on the backside; 50MP GN5 Primary sensor, 13MP UltraWide & Macro, and 12MP Portrait & Tele camera. One flashlight is also aligned with the camera sensors. On the front side, there is a 16MP camera and a screen flash.

In this price range, the IQOO 9T’s camera is one of the finest. Probably, no one of its rivals has this standard of camera sensors. You will find similar camera setups in one level-up segment smartphones like Vivo X80 and Samsung Galaxy S22. Accordingly, the camera feature of IQOO 9T justifies its price range.

4. Design

IQOO 9T has a bulky design and seems huge. It has two colour variants; the first one is white (Legend), and the second one is black (Alpha). The white-coloured variant has a tricolour vertical strip on the back panel, but the black-coloured variant is simple from the back side. Moreover, the upper half of the backside has a carbon black finish. Meanwhile, the front side has the same classy look with a punch-hole camera in the centre.

The Power button and the volume buttons are given on the right side of the smartphone. On the bottom side, there are stereo speakers, a sim card tray, and a Type-C port. The left side is flat. And there are some sensors and a microphone on the top side of the phone. And the IQOO 9T smartphone has an aluminium frame.

5. Dual Chip Processor

Here comes the main feature of the smartphone. IQOO 9T comes with two processor chips; the first one is the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the second one is a V1 chip. IQOO 9T is one of the few phones that have two chips. Although, both the chips in IQOO 9T have different usages.

The first chip, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, works as the main processor of the smartphone. And the second one, the V1+ custom chip, is for the optimization of the camera and gaming. It enhances the gaming experience by increasing the frame and making the colors rich. Also, the V1+ chip helps the battery to last longer.

If we talk about the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, it is the latest chipset in the series and powerful smartphones like Asus ROG 6, OnePlus 10 Ultra, Xiaomi 12 Ultra, etc carry this chip. Exceptionally, the recently launched OnePlus 10T is featuring Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

Apart from these two processor chips, the IQOO 9T has enhanced UFS 3.1 storage, the latest LPDDR 5 RAM, and a 3.19GHz Octa-Core CPU. Moreover, the smartphone has an Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12 operating system.

IQOO 9T is the most powerful smartphone in this range, as of now. Even smartphones priced around 60000 INR can’t beat the performance of the IQOO 9T. Hopefully, you have understood the main logic behind the high price of the IQOO 9T smartphone.

Other Important Features

  • Dual Stereo Speakers.
  • Vapor chamber for liquid cooling.

Is IQOO 9T Overpriced or Features Worth It: Conclusion

Considering the display, design, camera, and performance features of the smartphone, I can say that IQOO 9T is not overpriced and its features are completely worth it. Now, if you ask me how the IQOO 9T is worth buying, then let me tell you that the smartphone has better performance than every smartphone in the segment.
