If you’re in search of an Android phone with 4 GB RAM under Rs. 15,000 then this article can be great for you. Well, in this post I’m going to compare two Android smartphones; Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro and Realme 2 Pro. Last month in my list of the top 10 Android smartphones to buy in 2019, I mentioned these two phones in the first and second positions.
You would know Xiaomi is a Chinese smartphone maker that has become famous enough in India because of its great quality smartphones in affordable price ranges. Alongside, Realme is an offshoot of the Chinese brand Oppo and aims to provide smartphones under Rs. 20,000 for “young people around the world.”
When it comes to Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro and Realme 2 Pro, both have almost similar features such as RAM, internal memory, operating system, etc. But, still, there are many more things you need to know if you’ll be comparing both. And here in this post, I will try to guide you to choose the best one among these two.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro VS Realme 2 Pro
However, most features are the same as mentioned above but still, we’ve some really worth comparing things that can make a big difference. Check them out below:
Camera Features
Camera features in both of the smartphones are different. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a 12 MP + 5 MP Dual Primary camera with dual-color LED flash and 20 MP + 2 MP Dual Front Camera whereas with Realme 2 Pro you’ll get a 16 MP + 2 MP Dual Primary camera with LED Flash and 16 MP Front camera.
So, it’s clearly seen that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has better camera features as compared to Realme 2 Pro. And even if you’re a selfie lover, Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro will be a better choice.
RAM & Internal Memory
Both of the smartphones come with different variants. Redmi Note 6 Pro is available in 4GB and 6GB RAM while the internal memory is 64GB in both variants.
But, the Realme 2 Pro comes with even more choices as it is available in 4GB RAM, 6GB RAM, and 8GB RAM while the internal memory is 64GB for the first two variants and if you buy the 8GB RAM variant of Realme 2 Pro, you’ll get 128GB internal memory.
Display & Processor
There is no much difference in the display features and processors of both Android smartphones. But, still, if we compare, the Realme 2 Pro will win over the display and processor.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a 1080×2280 px 6.26 inches IPS LCD display with 403 PPI whereas the Realme 2 Pro has 1080×2340 px 6.3 inches IPS LCD display with 409 PPI. And when it comes to the processor, Redmi Note 6 Pro has a 1.8 GHz Octa-Core processor and the Realme 2 Pro has a 1.95 GHz Octa-Core processor.
So, the difference is not that big but still, the choice is very clear here!
Battery, The Most Important Thing
Along with camera, display, memory, and processor features, you must have a look over the battery features of any smartphone you’re willing to purchase. You must understand that battery is the most important part of any smartphone.
But, in terms of battery features the Redmi Note 6 Pro wins. However, Realme 2 Pro doesn’t have that bad battery but as compared to Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, it fails.
Both smartphones come with non-removable batteries. Redmi Note 6 Pro has a 4000 mAh battery with a quick charging facility whereas the Realme 2 Pro has a 3500 mAh battery without quick charging. Also, check out some main reasons for slow battery charging.
Price
The best way to compare two or more products is by comparing their features according to price range. And here also the price may help you choose the best one.
4GB RAM variant of Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is available at Rs. 13,990 while the Realme 2 Pro’s 4GB variant is priced at Rs. 12,990. The 6GB variant of Redmi Note 6 Pro is priced at Rs. 15,990 whereas the 6GB variant of Realme 2 Pro is priced at Rs. 14,990. Realme 2 Pro also comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. This variant can be purchased for around Rs. 17,990.
Choosing The Best One
As seen above, both of the smartphones have almost similar features such as display, processor, memory, etc. but still Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro seems to win over most of the features like camera, battery features, etc.
However, there is not much difference between the display and processor features of both smartphones but still when we see, Realme 2 Pro wins over here. But, truly this difference in display features and processors of both smartphones doesn’t really matter, at least for me.
Overall, if you’re willing to buy a 4GB / 6GB RAM phone, I would recommend buying Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro for the reasons already mentioned above. But, if you want a phone with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, Realme 2Pro isn’t really a bad choice.
And, when it comes to pricing, there’s not much difference as you can see above. Redmi Note 6 Pro is a bit higher than Realme 2 Pro, and it’s for the reason.
So, now the choice is yours. Share your thoughts via comments. And let me know which smartphone you really liked; Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro or Realme 2 Pro?
