OnePlus 9RT Vs OnePlus 9R Detailed Comparison
It will be a little complicated and detailed procedure to find the best smartphone among both of them. Both the phones have major differences in price point and petty differences in features. So, let’s figure out the best choice by comparing the features and prices of both smartphones.
Design and Dimensions
Firstly talking about the design and dimensions, both smartphones have the same design. Both the phones feature a flat-screen, the same punch-hole selfie camera in the top left corner, microphone speaker in the top center. You will find the exact same placement of buttons, ports, stereo speakers, microphones, SIM tray tool, and alert slider. Moreover, on the backside, the OnePlus 9R has a quad-camera setup whereas the OnePlus 9RT has a triple-camera setup on the top left corner of the phone. The built material is the same in both smartphones. But, the OnePlus 9RT gives a soft glossy texture in-hand feeling, unlike the OnePlus 9R.
The OnePlus 9RT is slightly taller and thinner than the OnePlus 9R. OnePlus 9RT dimensions are: 16.22 * 7.46 * 0.829cm (Height * width * thickness) and its weight is 198.5g. On the other hand, the OnePlus 9R dimensions are 16.07 * 7.41 * 0.84cm (Height * width * thickness) and 189g weight. Coming to the Display, OnePlus 9RT comes with a 6.62-inch E4 120 Hz display with hyper touch 2.0. And OnePlus 9R comes with a 6.55 inch normal 120 Hz display – this is the only difference in both smartphones’ displays. Meanwhile, the other features like 1080 * 2400 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 120 Hz refresh rate, in-display fingerprint sensor, reading mode, and night mode are the same in both phones. And the screens have gorilla glass protection.
Camera
Now, the camera aspect, OnePlus 9RT has a triple rear camera setup with dual flashlights. You have a 50MP Sony IMX 766 (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 16MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. At the front, there is a 16MP Sony IMX 471 (f/2.4) sensor for the selfie camera. On the other side, the OnePlus 9R has a quad-camera setup in the rear with dual flashlights. Meanwhile, both smartphones support Oxygen OS-based Android 11 operating system, 5G support, and dual 4G Volte. 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256 GB storage options are available in the both smartphones.
Battery and Charger
Coming to the battery and charger, OnePlus 9RT and OnePlus 9R both phones have a massive 4500 mAh dual-cell battery. It is enough battery for a whole day running. Both devices have a 65W wrap fast charger that can charge the battery 0 to 100% in just 29 minutes. Moreover, there is no wireless charging supported in both devices.

Except the Bluetooth connectivity, all connectivity features are the same in both smartphones. OnePlus 9RT supports Bluetooth 5.2 and OnePlus 9R supports Bluetooth 5.1. Although the OnePlus 9RT has some upgraded and advanced features than the OnePlus 9R, the OnePlus 9RT is not a value-for-money smartphone. The OnePlus 9R is 6,000 INR cheaper than the OnePlus 9RT, whereas the OnePlus 9R has rival features. So, I don’t think it will be a wise choice if you buy the OnePlus 9RT by paying an extra 6,000INR for the almost same features. And if you have that much budget, then you should go for the other rivals at this price point.
