In this context, Telegram said in a recent blog post that all the existing features will continue for every user. Additionally, some of the premium features will be accessible to non-premium users.

What are the Exclusive Features Of Telegram Premium?
Including no-ads, voice-to-text, animated profile pictures, and double limits, Telegram added numerous new features to the premium plan. Check out all the features with details.
1. Ads Free Account For Premium Users
Telegram shows sponsored messages, channel promotions, and other ads on the platform. But, if you buy the premium plan of Telegram, then there will be no ads on your account.
No doubt, the non-premium accounts will be having the same ads as usual because the Telegram collects the revenue from the ads.
2. Better Download Speed Than Non-Premium Accounts
The download speed of media and other files will be faster for premium users of Telegram than the non-premium users. The premium users can get the exploring speed as fast as the available network speed.
3. Extended Limit For File Sharing
Telegram extended the file sharing limit up to 4GB for the premium users, whereas the non-premium users can share 2GB files. Moreover, the Telegram cloud storage will be free for all non-paying and paying users.
4. Double Limit For Following Channels, Chat, Chat Folder, etc.
Telegram’s premium users can follow 1,000 channels, have a 20 chats folder with 200 chats, pin 10 chats, and add up to four accounts on a smartphone. And at the other side, the non-premium users have only half the limit to all these things like 500 following channels, 10 chat folders, etc.
5. Convert Voice Messages into Text
This feature will help the users to read the voice message by converting voice messages into text. However, it is available for Telegram’s premium users only, non-premium can’t access this feature.
6. More Stickers & Emojis With Different Expressions
Telegram added numerous new stickers & emojis for premium users. These new stickers and emojis will help the users to express more emotions while chatting. All the premium stickers are fully screen-animated.
Only premium users can send these stickers and emojis while chatting. But, non-premium users can only see these stickers and emojis. Moreover, Telegram said that added premium stickers will be updated every month.
7. New Tools To Manage The Chat
With the Telegram premium, users have new tools to manage the chat interface. By using these new tools, users can make multiple changes like changing the default chat folder, muting unknown or new contact messages, and auto listing in Archived Chats.
8. Premium Badge and App Icon
A premium badge, like many other social media platforms, is also on the list of premium features of Telegram. It will be just next to your name. Basically, it will show others that you are a Telegram premium user.
Moreover, three premium icons; Premium Star, Night Sky, and Turbo Plane are also on the list. The paying users will have three choices to keep anyone as the default Telegram icon.
9. Animated Profile View For Everyone
This new interesting feature will make the premium users’ profiles animate to everyone even while chatting and on the chat list.
Price of Telegram Premium
Talking about the price of the Telegram Premium Plan, it comes with different price points for the Android version and iOS versions.
- For the Android version, the Telegram premium plan costs 460 INR.
- And for the iOS version, the Telegram premium plan costs 469 INR.
Telling honestly, it comes at an unexpectedly high price. However, Telegram added a lot of new exclusive features with the plan but, this price point is not justifiable.
How You Can Activate the Premium Version of Telegram?
The premium plan of Telegram is rolled out in almost all countries. If you want to get the Telegram premium plan, then, first of all, you have to update your app with the latest version. After updating the app, open the Telegram app, and click on the three dots > Setting > Telegram Premium.
Along with launching premium plan features, Telegram added some updates and new features for non-premium accounts. Some of these features are improved chat preview on Androids, auto-saving to the gallery on Androids, improved external sharing on iOS, and animated profile picture creator on macOS.
