What are the Key Features of Nothing Phone 1?
As you know Nothing Phone 1 came with uniqueness. Along with its all basic features, it has some unique and different features that are introduced in the market for the first time. Firstly, let’s discuss the key features of the smartphone, and then we will move ahead to know how the Nothing Phone 1 is different from other smartphones.
Design and Dimensions
The aluminum frame, front and back gorilla glass protection, punch-hole selfie camera in the top left corner, round edges, dual rear camera in a vertical line, transparent back, and glyph interface are the key design aspects of Nothing Phone 1.
Moreover, the smartphone has volume buttons on the left side and a power button on the right side. On the bottom, there is a sim tray, a Type-C charging port, a noise cancellation sensor, and stereo speakers. Apart from that, the dimensions of Nothing Phone 1 are 159.2×75.8×8.3 mm with 193.5 grams weight.
Display
The smartphone has 6.55 inch OLED display with 1080×2400 pixels resolution. And the display has a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sample rate, HDR 10+ certificate, and 20:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, the display of Nothing Phone 1 has Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Cameras
In a very simple way, the Nothing Phone 1 has only two camera sensors with one LED flash on the rear side. The first one is a 50MP Sony IMX 766 sensor and the second one is a 50MP Samsung JN1 UltraWide sensor. And there is a 16MP selfie camera.
Moreover, the company said that the rear primary sensor of Nothing Phone 1 has OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) for additional stability. And the UltraWide sensor can record a 114-degree view.
Performance
Talking about the performance aspects of the Nothing Phone 1, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ 6NM processor, Octa-Core CPU, and Adreno 642 L GPU. It has its self-made operating system Nothing OS based on Android 12.
The Nothing Phone 1 has 3 storage variants: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. Unluckily, there will be no card slot for external storage.
Battery
The smartphone has a 4,500 mAh battery. However, the smartphone doesn’t have any charger in the box. As per the instructions, Nothing Phone 1 supports 33W wireless charging. Also, it supports 5W reverse wireless charging.
Connectivity Features
Connectivity features in Nothing Phone 1 are Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi, and dual 4G. Notably, the smartphone has 12 5G bands, which is a good thing. Moreover, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor, and stereo speakers, but doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

These LED lights are located in 4 different locations. The first one is around the camera setup, the second one is around the wireless charging magnet, the third one is located vertically on the charging port, and the last fourth line is in the oblique pattern on the top right corner.
All these lights sink in various patterns. Lights sink differently, with different ringtones, notification sounds, and different modes. And the LED light also informs about the charging status. The best part is that you can customize these lights in many ways.
Built Material
The company said that the frame of Nothing Phone 1 is made with 100% recycled aluminum. And the used plastic material is 50% recycled or bio-based plastic. The use of these types of materials makes the smartphone lightweight.
In today’s world, it is a good thing, whereas the other smartphone companies are only promising the use of environment-friendly materials, but in most cases, they don’t do it.
New and Simple OS
The new smartphone company presented its all-new operating system, Nothing OS. Carl Pei, the founder of Nothing, said that the company built the operating system in a very simple way for ease of use.
The company gave many shortcuts to the home screen. With these shortcuts, users can directly give a command to many smart services. As of now, this shortcut feature works with Nothing Earbuds 1 and Tesla cars.

The price range of the Nothing Phone 1 is 31,999INR to 37,999INR. The first variant, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, will cost you 31,999INR. The second, 8GB RAM + 2556GB storage will cost you 34,999INR. And the third variant, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage will cost you 37,999INR.
Should You Really Buy The Nothing Phone 1?
However, the company created so much hype for this phone, but the hype can not prove a phone perfect. Although the company has given so many features, it does not mean that the features are useful for you.
I understand that some features make this phone unique in the market, but it’s still very important to clarify whether should you really buy this Nothing Phone 1 or not.

Why Should You Not Buy?
- Nothing Phone has a Snapdragon 778g+ chipset. It is an unsatisfying chipset in this range.
- The smartphone is slightly expensive. We can’t say it is that much expensive, but it could come at a slightly cheaper price.
- As it is a new brand, it currently doesn’t have official service centers in the country. Due to this reason, you may be inconvenienced if there is any problem with the phone.
Now, you have to decide whether it is worth buying or not. According to my opinion, there is nothing in this smartphone that can justify its price range except its all-new transparent look and Glyph interface.
If you are so crazy about its looks and want to impress your friends with its impressive design and lighting features, then you can put your money into buying Nothing Phone 1. Moreover, if you are loving this smartphone very much and decided to buy it, then don’t stop yourself because of the new company.
