Increase Deliverability Rate

Email marketing is one of the great mediums for affiliate marketers to make more sales and increase revenue but one of the main problems many email marketers endure is the lower deliverability rate of emails sent to subscribers. It means the emails you’re sending from your email marketing server are directly going inside the spam folder of the subscriber’s email.

There are various reasons for this problem such as the sender’s reputation, unclear sender’s name and subject lines, large message size, too many links inside the message, use of known spam words, and many more. But, many times even after fixing these errors emails are delivered to the spam folder and that’s why I wrote this article to provide a great and unerring solution to this problem.

You would read too many articles available on the web to increase your deliverability rate but most of them don’t satisfy or we can say those tricks don’t work for us. Have you ever thought why? The reason is that you exactly don’t know what’s the real reason of less deliverability rate of your emails. Let me explain:

What’s the Solid Reason of Your Less Deliverability Rate

However, there may be lots of reasons as mentioned above but one of the main but hidden reasons is the sharing of your IP address with other email marketers.

Email’s deliverability largely depends on the reputation of the IP address that sends it and the IP address’s reputation depends on the senders who are using that IP address for sending their emails.

Mostly companies use a range of shared IP addresses to process and send your emails. In shared IPs, the sender’s reputation is defined by the actions of all senders using the same IP.

So, if you’re not creating spam messages and still being filtered by some inboxes, it means some of the senders sharing your IP do not good reputation and creating bad messages that are likely to go into spam. And just due to sending with that shared IP your mails also deliver in spam folder.

So, this might be the main reason why your emails are being filtered by some inboxes and sent to the spam folder, and that is for no mistake by you. 🙁 In fact, it’s just because of other (less reputed or spammy) senders sending from the same IP you’re sending.

So, What’s the Real Solution to This Problem?

If the problem is just sending from a shared IP, you now need to have a dedicated IP for sending your emails and having full control over them.

With having a dedicated or unique IP, you’re making sure that your messages are now not sharing the IP with other senders and the reputation of your IP won’t be determined by the actions of many.

Other than this, dedicated IP provides many other benefits such as emails appearing to come from the originating company’s email address rather than on behalf of the email marketing company’s appendix like emailer.hubspot.com.

But, there are many problems you might feel in getting a dedicated IP from your email marketing solution. Why? I tell you below.

Here are Some Problems You Might Face

There are many popular email marketing services around the globe and almost each of them provides dedicated IP addresses to their customers but not for all. It means if you need a dedicated IP to send emails without sharing IP with more senders, you must have a large list of subscribers (nearly start from 25k/50k to as many as possible). It’s the main problem that small email marketers feel.

Other than this, I encountered one more problem with dedicated IPs. For more email marketing solutions, whenever your marketing company sets up a dedicated IP for you it will take time to start working perfectly because whenever you send lots of emails from a fresh new dedicated IP address, ISPs will take notice. And it can take weeks or months to find that emails coming from this new IP are good and trustworthy. After that, your emails most probably won’t go into spam folders and your deliverability rate will be increased.

How to Get a Dedicated IP for Email Marketing

For this, you don’t need to do anything difficult. Just ask your email marketing company’s support about dedicated IP and they will assist you better in this regard.

The very first thing you will say you to have a high email volume because a dedicated IP facility is only available for bigger or high-volume email marketers.

In the case of email marketing services, almost every email marketing solution such as MailChimp, Hubspot, GetResponse, etc. provides this facility.

Conclusion

I know most of you wouldn’t know about dedicated IP, till now. So, this article will proven very useful to understand the importance of dedicated IPs.

If you have a large number of email subscribers, your email marketing solution will set up a dedicated IP for you. If they didn’t do that till now, you can ask them via support.

In case you don’t have high email subscribers and still your deliverability rate is not good or emails are going to spam, you should start working to make your message and subject lines clearer and simple because as far as I know the dedicated IP feature is not available for small marketers.

Still, I contacted some of the email marketing solutions in this regard and they told me that they will soon start providing dedicated IPs for small email marketers too and GetResponse is one of them.
