This is very common that we usually link our Twitter account with other social media accounts such as Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. But, recently when I wanted to remove my Twitter account from my LinkedIn profile that I added a few years back, I stuck. I had to do a quick search to find out from where I will be able to remove or change the Twitter account associated with my LinkedIn profile. And finally, I got it.
So, in this article, I will be guiding you on how you can change or completely remove your Twitter account linked with your LinkedIn profile. Find out the quick steps below to remove your Twitter account from your LinkedIn profile.
Step 1. Open LinkedIn and go to Settings
The very first step is to open LinkedIn and go to Settings. For this, you need to visit LinkedIn and sign in with your credentials if not already logged in. Once you are signed in to your LinkedIn account, click on your Profile icon at the top right side of the screen and choose the Settings and Privacy option under the Account section.
Step 2. Navigate to Partners and Services
On the Settings page, you will find many sections on the left side menu including Account Preferences, Visibility, Communications, and more. Your task is to navigate to Partners and Services under the Account Preferences section. For this, click on Account Preferences and then navigate to Partners and Services as depicted in the following picture.
Step 3. Remove Linked Twitter Account
This is the third step that will let you remove your Twitter account from your LinkedIn profile. As soon as you will navigate to the Partners and Services option from the left side menu, you will see Microsoft and Twitter as your Partners and Services.
If you want to change or remove your Twitter account added to your LinkedIn profile, you need to click on Twitter. Now, you will need to click on Remove to remove your linked Twitter account. As soon as you will click on it, your Twitter account will vanish from your LinkedIn account.
Step 4. Add a New Twitter Account
Now, it’s time to add a new Twitter account to your LinkedIn profile. Once you have removed your linked Twitter account as guided in the last step, you will now see a link for Add a Twitter account. As soon as you will click on this link, it will ask you to enter your LinkedIn password for security reasons.
As soon as you will enter the password, it will ask you to authorize LinkedIn to access your Twitter account. If you are not already logged in t your Twitter account, you will need to enter your Twitter username/email and password to sign in to your account. And once you’re signed in, just click on the Authorize App button to give LinkedIn access to your Twitter account.
That’s all about changing your Twitter account from your LinkedIn profile. The steps will be the same for removing an existing Twitter account and adding a new account to your LinkedIn profile.
